·   Supervises the installation, integrating, testing, and support of the Wireless Audio Visual Emergency System (WAVES) systems and components throughout Iraq and Afghanistan Theater of Operation.

·   Provides technical guidance to DoD personnel.

·   Perform Site Surveys conducted to collect data for system design.

·   Participate in the planning for not only WAVES, but also in the overall S&W planning requirements.

Also performed official QA/QC inspections before turning completed projects over to the customers. Supervised personnel located throughout numerous locations in Afghanistan. Were also involved in the designing of numerous network designs to include Inside Plant design and the placement of Man Holes for the new BAF Man Hole Infrastructure (Outside Plant).

 

Jun 2007- Oct 2007.  2GWLAN Wireless Technician, SUPERIOR  INC.

·              Supervised the installation and construction of the 2nd Generation Wireless Local Area Network (2GWLAN) for numerous United States Air Force Bases abroad. Responsible for the proper installation and construction of Wireless Access Points, Air Monitors, Omni-directional antennas, Cisco switches and Power over Ethernet modules. Also responsible for the proper construction and termination of media cables to include the fabrication of LMR-400 and LMR-600 Coax cable, CAT5e copper cable and Fiber Optic cable. Responsible for making on-the-spot engineering changes, as well as red line drawing using Visio and AutoCAD.

 

Oct 2004-Mar 2007.  IT Technician (Project Lead), Electro Systems Engineering Inc. (ESEI)

·   Contracted under the US Army as an Information Technology Technician in Bagram, Afghanistan, providing communications essential to the US Military, multinational forces, and civilian contract companies - to include voice (LAN, WAN, DSN), data (NIPR, SIPR, CENTRIX), and cable television.

·   Supervised multiple teams in daily operations such as the construction, installation, termination and maintenance of Panduit, commercial cable racks and raceways, Cat5e cable, Fiber Optics, Coax Cable, and Grounding wire, as well as testing.

 

Jul 1999-Sep 2004. IT and Communications Technician, UNITED STATES ARMY

·   While assigned to Saudi Arabia, installed over 1,200 miles of Fiber Optic and copper cable throughout manhole systems and core drilled 72 villas for the installation of over 52,000 feet of NIPR, SIPR, Coax, and Fiber optic cable within a five-month period.

·   Installed and replaced line poles, various NIDs (Network Interface Devices) from Pair Gain to ISDN and ADSL/DSL.

·   Spliced in pedestals, encapsulations, SAI cabinets, and splice cases (aerial/buried).

·   Assigned with the U.S. Army to install LAN and WAN networks in Kosovo (April 2000 - October 2000).  Saudi Arabia (October 2001 - February 2002).

·   Assigned to Qatar to build an entire Technical Control Facility and tactical backbone infrastructure from the ground, in support of CENTCOM (Operation Enduring Freedom) (October 2002 - December 2002).

·   Assigned to Kuwait/Iraq for the commercialization of over 13 military camps to include Iraqi Palaces (March 2003 - November 2003).

·   Identified and tested various types of FE, CAT 5, and Fiber Optic cabling.

·   Ensured quality control for Main Distribution Frames (MDF) and Intermediate Distribution Frames (IDF).

·   Installed multiple panduit and cable raceway constructions on numerous commercial installation projects.

·   Verified circuits entering the host from the central office.

·   Performed wire wrapping as needed.
